Often regarded as the heart of the Supreme Court, the Record Room has undergone a significant transformation. Since 2024, the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka has adopted a modern and secure file management system. Unlike in the past, files are no longer stored on open racks, but are now housed in specially designed compactors, ensuring both safety and efficient space utilization. Access to these compactors is strictly limited to authorized personnel, and all file movements are carefully monitored under the supervision of a designated officer, who oversees the retrieval and distribution of records upon official request.
