Attorneys-at-Law requesting an official name change on record must submit the following documents to the Registrar of the Supreme Court for verification and approval.
Required Documents
1.  Formal Request Letter
- Addressed to the Registrar of the Supreme Court.
- Clearly state the purpose for which the Letter of Good Standing is required (e.g., foreign bar registration, employment, academic application, etc.).
- The request must also include: ( Full Name of the Attorney-at-Law / Enrolment Number / Date of Taking Oath as an Attorney-at-Law )
3. Supporting Documents Based on the Type of Name Change:
- Submit the amended original Birth Certificate with the change recorded under Column 13.
- Attach an official English translation certified by a sworn translator.
- Submit the original Marriage Certificate.
- Attach an official English translation certified by a sworn translator.
4. Copy of Certificate of Enrolment as an Attorney-at-Law

Important Notes:
- Incomplete submissions or lack of supporting documents may cause processing delays.
- Name change updates will be officially recorded upon verification and approval by the Supreme Court
