Attorneys-at-Law who wish to obtain a Letter of Good Standing from the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka are kindly requested to follow the procedure below
Required Documents
1.  Formal Request Letter
- Addressed to the Registrar of the Supreme Court.
- Clearly state the purpose for which the Letter of Good Standing is required (e.g., foreign bar registration, employment, academic application, etc.).
- The request must also include: ( Full Name of the Attorney-at-Law / Enrolment Number / Date of Taking Oath as an Attorney-at-Law )
3. Copy of the Certificate of Enrolment (if available)
4. GovPay Payment Receipt
Submission Instructions:
- All documents must be submitted physically to the Supreme Court Registry or scanned and emailed to: 📧 scurgentmatters@sltnet.lk
- Please use the email subject line: Name Change Request – [Your Enrolment Number]
Important Notes:
- Letters will be issued only after the Registry completes all necessary verifications..
- Please allow at least 3–5 working days for processing.
